GlaxoSmithKlineThe IMPACT Awards have been running since 1997 and are designed to recognise and reward charities that are doing excellent work to improve people’s health. They are funded by GlaxoSmithKline and managed in partnership with The King’s Fund. The awards are open to registered charities that are at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with a total annual income between £10,000 and £1.5 million

Although HealthWORKS was not one of the ten overall winners we were ‘Highly Commended’ by the judges and received a £5,000 donation, plus a place on the IMPACT Awards Development Network training course.

Sarah Cowling Chief Executive for Healthworks(third from left in picture) says “this award has enabled me to link in with lots of other small charities and learn from their experiences and share mine of working in the third sector”
