Hello and welcome to the March bulletin

Update from the spring Change4Life in West Newcastle Wider Partnership Meeting

Thank you to all who attended or sent their apologies to the partnership meeting on 6 March at Broadwood School. The partnership theme was the wider community and showcased the work of Champions, mini champions and partners and highlighted the success of the links created and built upon by the partnership. There were several new partners who introduced what they could offer in terms of partnership working. Please see additional information from these partners below. The School Games is a key part of the Government’s offer to schools following London 2012 and the legacy of the Games. Within the program we can offer to partners:

Physical – Sports Competitions KS2, PE curriculum support

Health – Physical movement/Basic skills and activity for KS1, C4L sports clubs

Social – Sports leadership program, playground leaders, sports awards

The team are happy to explore other aspects relating to physical activity and health with any interested partners.

Following the Adult Change4Life Champions presentation at the partnership event if any organization/ setting is interested in putting forward one of their volunteers/ service users to become a champion and spread the word in their setting please contact Kath English.
