A really busy west Newcastle partnership event at Newcastle City Learning on 11November; with 84 Attendees from 74 organisations and 23 apologies prior to the event..7 new partners attended along with 7 local primary schools and 6 Change4Life Champions. 50 link up sheets filled in at the event with 109 requests to link up or share information and 63 further reported link ups at the event.

 

Greening Wingrove
Greening Wingrove Community Innovation Fund has £40k available for local community groups to access to help promote the aims of the WEA Greening Wingrove project in helping the people of Wingrove ward and New Mills Estate live sustainably and care about the area in which they live. Sustrans
Sustrans have set up the Bike Garden in Nuns Moor Park, a new space offering volunteer opportunities & training, weekly dr bike sessions for all local residents (3pm – 7pm every on a Wednesday) and led walks and rides.
Sustrans are working with local schools, businesses and residents to help them save money, improve health/wellbeing, and the local environment by cycling & walking more as part of everyone’s daily travel.
