Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Kings Fund

Healthworks have been invited to a reception at The King’s Fund on 30th June to celebrate the work of local charities to tackle health inequalities in their communities, and the 25th anniversary of the GSK IMPACT Awards.

The Awards recognise the outstanding work of community-based health care charities to improve people’s health and wellbeing. You may recall that last year Healthworks won one of these awards.

The event is particularly timely coming the evening before the formal implementation of the integration reforms in the Health and Care Act, given the crucial role the voluntary and community sector (VCSE) will play in place-based working and the new statutory Integrated Care Systems.

The event will be hosted by Richard Murray, CEO of The King’s Fund, and Sir Jon Symonds, Chair of GSK. The Secretary of State for Health has been invited to speak and reflect on this agenda. Attendees will include representation from charities, charitable funders, Members of Parliament and other key stakeholders from the health and care system.
