We’ve partnered with the Community Family Hub West team to bring favourite children’s stories to life.
Normally our Community Skills Team would be working with groups of families across the west of Newcastle on activities that promote family cooking, play and learning. The outbreak or coronavirus means that we have had to bring a halt to our group activities, however we didn’t want families to miss out because of this. That’s why we have introduced our new Cook Play and Learn activities with our friends over at the Community Family Hub West.
Every Wednesday at 10am they host a facebook storytime where they read a favourite children’s story and we have produced a lovely online activity resource to accompany the story and really bring it to life through activity ideas, videos, recipes and virtual experiences.
This week’s story and activity is The Very Hungry Caterpillar and you can access the resource here.
We’ll be bringing new Cook, Play and Learn resources over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out on our social media for more fun activities and check out our Healthy Eating page for more recipe ideas and to get your FREE 25:25 cookbook download.
Plus don’t forget you can also access our Family Activities Online resource which brings together a range of at home activities for all of the family!
