The Global Big Latch On is an annual event that happens in many countries across the world at the start of World Breastfeeding Week.
It’s all about promoting, celebrating and supporting breastfeeding.
During the event we will take a count of all the babies latched during the ‘counting window’ these numbers are sent to the Big Latch On team and added to the numbers from events happening all over the world.
What counts as a latch? Any baby physically feeding at the breast, if you’re breastfeeding twins or triplets etc. only one baby has to be latched for them all to be counted. If your using a supplemental nursing system or expressing to feed baby this also counts as a ‘latch’.
A link and password will be emailed out before the event for you to join us.
