We hope you’ve all had a fantastic summer!

Just a reminder that the next Change4life in West Newcastle partnership event will be on Tuesday 10 November 9:30-11:30 at Westgate Hill Primary school NE4 5JN

It will be in the Victoria building which is the old school, the entrance is at the top of Tamworth Road.

It would be great if you could let us know if you’ll be attending or send your apologies prior to the event.

As usual we’ve a packed agenda with lots of updates and information and our usual dedicated networking time and link up sheets.

Funding Update

As a follow on from their presentation at the last partnership event we’re pleased to let you know Community First Elswick have now launched their new Health and Happiness Activity Fund. Please see below and attached for more information

New Health and Happiness Activity (Ha-ha) funding available to community groups / projects that benefit residents of Elswick ward.

The Community First Elswick panel are delighted to announce support of up to £1,000 for new or one-off activities based around five key areas for wellbeing;

◊ Connecting people
◊ Taking up an interest / learning something new
◊ Being more active
◊ Taking notice of your neighbourhood
◊ Giving something back / volunteering

Applications are now open to projects and community groups that offer support and activities to residents of Elswick ward.

Closing date Midday 2 October and the panel will meet Monday 12 October to discuss all applications and make their decision.

To apply for up to £1,000 from the Health and Happiness Activity (Ha-ha) Fund visit https://communityfirstelswick.wordpress.com/ where guidance notes and application form are available.

We’ve packed lots into the guidance notes to help you with the application process.

You can either complete the application form electronically or print off and complete by hand.

This has been made possible via support from Newcastle City Council Health and Wellbeing ward funding, allowing local people to make local effective decisions around wellbeing.
